ABOUT ME

MY STORY

My journey in the creative world started fresh out the WOMB. Ha ha, i’m not kidding though, my parents used to tell people that I learned to paint and draw before I could talk or write. On the contrary, I was also the kid organizing piles of stickers and halloween candies by type, shape and color.

I continued to follow this passion and ended up studying for my BFA in printmaking at SUNY Buffalo State. Shortly after my sophomore year, I decided that Buffalo started started to feel … erm … stuffy. I realized that was my brains’ own way of telling me that i’d become too comfortable and that I needed a new challenge (I still hate being “too” comfortable).

I packed up my life and off NYC I went.

I continued my Fine Arts studies at CUNY Brooklyn College where I learned very quickly learned about how much I genuinely, whole-heartedly care about humans. In addition to my BFA, I decided to minor in Refugee Protection. This is something that I feel really strongly about. I started volunteering at a Refugee organization in Buffalo (Vive La Casa) as a child, and I still volunteer around the city today. One day, I hope to own my own studio where Refugee women can come get creative, swap skills and have assistance in obtaining any necessary resources or making connections.

It’s been really rewarding to combine my love for art and design with my inherent passion for organizing, being resourceful, my empathetic nature, and my need to control situations (in a nice, professional way. I promise) that could easily become out-of-control.

It’s massively important to me that the work i’m managing is pushing the envelope, asking the masses those tough questions and encouraging people to do GOOD. To this day I am more passionate about people than anything else. Aside from maybe dogs- I really, really like dogs.

My creative approach to each and every project i’ve had the pleasure of touching has proven success through the outcome of the work. I love to collaborate - remember how I said people are my “thing”? I make it a point to connect with each and every human that I interact with, and that’s a big part of “why” my projects are not only successful, but collaborative and fun, too.

If there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s that my genuine passion is unmatched.

I still make art quite frequently. I’m still fascinated by textiles and I absolutely LOVE to paint murals.

Though I don’t practice printmaking professionally, my Fine Arts background is a huge part of who I am and has molded my management style

My favorite printmaking technique is woodcut relief printing.

What’re they saying?

“Annelle defines the energy and lifeblood of any team she was apart of while at WITHIN.

A project manager can have all of the experience in the world at all the big shops but the ability and success of a project manager comes down to two things // Intuitiveness & EQ — Annelle’s approach to anything thrown at her is a true testament to her exceedingly high IQ and emotional intelligence.

As her direct supervisor and only in a matter of a few months, I had first-hand experience watching her soak it all up, take ownership and not only lead but turn around one of the largest creative accounts at WITHIN. She is a listener, a doer and an achiever.

If you don’t trust me (which you should) — trust the fact that her colleagues had more to say //

“She’s brought so much needed structure and process to a pretty unwieldy account.”

“She’s always positive and ready with solutions.”

“Extremely collaborative and communicative. If she gets the feeling something isn’t working she’s prompts a convo to talk about how things can be improved.”

“Seeks and receives feedback very well and has a ‘one team, one dream’ mindset.”

“Very proactive. Sees potential issues before they arise and acts to address them before anyone has a chance to call them out.”

There you have it! Annelle is meant for amazing things — and it is hardly debatable. Wherever she finds herself in the future, she’ll find me likely as HER employee but continually supporting her endeavors and lifting her up whenever I have the chance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)”

- JT Schulz, Senior Project Manager

“It’s rare that you come across standout talent like Annelle.

I had the pleasure of working with Annelle, collaborating on several projects and process improvements. It didn't take long before she became my standout "go to" person.

She is not only a smart, talented, organized, wonderful person to work with, I was particularly impressed by her ability to handle even the toughest clients—effortlessly. That skill often takes years to develop among customer service professionals, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her.

Annelle's ability to juggle multiple projects was unlike any I’ve seen before and made a dramatic difference in the productivity level of her team. Her constant smile no matter what is going on that day is sure to put a smile on anyone's face.

Annelle would be an asset to any team.”

- Kimberly Neal, Business Development and Sales Manager

“Annie was a direct report of mine at ACV Auctions. Annie is efficient, detail-oriented, and extremely competent. She successfully finishes a task well before the deadline. She is extremely organized, and never misses a deadline or lets an assignment fall to the wayside.

Annie also has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. She is able to motivate and inspire everyone she meets. Her excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) allow her to connect with all kinds of people and to inspire them to put forth their best effort.

In summary, I highly recommend Annie for any position or endeavor that she may seek to pursue. She will be a valuable asset for any organization.”
